Every member of the Gornall Equestrian team has been carefully chosen by Jamie for their skills, knowledge and experience.

Averil and Jamie Gornall

Averil Gornall 

Jamie’s wife Averil has a successful interior design business (Averil Blundell Interior Design) also based at Home Farm.  Averil was heavily involved in the building work and development of the Gornall Equestrian facilities but now mainly gets involved in more business aspects of the company.

James Crabtree

Vet James is a director of Equine Reproductive Services (UK), which assists Gornall Equestrian with its semen service. Highly regarded in the field of fertility, he is in great demand as a speaker on the national and international stage. He was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Equine Stud Medicine in 2010 and has performed peer review of manuscripts for the Equine Veterinary Journal and Equine Veterinary Education. He is recognised as an advanced practitioner in equine stud management and is a current member of the British Equine Veterinary Association. James is also an FEI permitted treating veterinarian.

Shane Fouhy 

Gornall Equestrian’s sports vet Shane (Hampshire Equine Clinic) is an elite FEI vet and an invaluable member of the team. Shane regularly visits the horses at home and at shows to ensure they can continue to perform at the highest of levels.

Richard Wijnen

A highly regarded Dutch farrier with over 20 years’ experience, Richard has a passion for horses and their welfare. He has been heavily involved in developing a new type of shoe and is keen to share his knowledge, lecturing to other farriers. He has built up a strong client base over the years covering top sport horses including those of Jan Tops, Leopold van Asten and the Qatar show jumping team. Richard and his team work closely with Jamie, Piotr and all the horses at Gornall Equestrian coming over to the UK every couple of weeks and also travelling to shows when the horses are away.

George Oduro

An equine osteopath with a fantastic reputation, George takes care of the showjumping horses at Gornall Equestrian. Over the past 35 years, he has brought his skills to many leading jumping stables and shows – including supporting the teams from 15 nations at the 2016 Rio Olympics. A fully qualified veterinary surgeon, George has treated about 50,000 elite horses in the course of his career as an osteopath.
