A talented 7 year-old with scope and power, our new showjumping stallion Chagolou forms part of the team for his potential to be a Grand Prix horse in the future. Not only does he have talent, but also the bloodlines to back it up – his sire is the much sought-after World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses number 1 sire ‘Chacco Blue’.

Chacco Blue had a successful international showjumping career himself, including wins in the Grand Prix at Olympia and Neumünster before his death in 2012 at the age of 14. With limited frozen semen available, it is very exciting for us to be able to offer breeders in the UK the chance to add Chacco Blue lines to their breeding programmes.

One of Chacco Blue’s most notable offspring is ‘Explosion W’ ridden by Ben Maher. Explosion W is one of the most successful showjumping horses of the moment with 6 LGCT Grand Prix wins under his belt. Explosion W’s damsire is the famous Baloubet du Rouet, also a bloodline shared with Chagolou on the dam line. With exceptional rideability and trainability from Chagolou’s grandsire Conthargos, this combination of bloodlines makes Chagolou a promising prospect for both the sport and for potential breeders.

For more information on Chagolou, our newest showjumping stallion, please contact stallion@gornallequestrian.com or call 01423 339 222. To view our other stallions standing at stud in 2020, go to our ‘Stallions at Stud‘ page. Make sure to keep up to date with our latest news on our Facebook page.
