Six-year-old, AES-graded stallion Clintendro K is a careful, quick-from-the-floor horse with big, rangy movement and a huge amount of potential. His sire is the legendary Olympic Holstein stallion Clinton, who has passed on his conformation, fluid movement and tremendous jumping ability to his son.
Clinton had a great competition career under rider Dirk Demeersman, winning the 2003 Grand Prix in Lummen and coming second in the Nations Cup in Aachen the same year. He went on to take third place in the individual rankings at the 2004 Olympics, in Athens.
Many of his offspring have established successful showjumping careers, including Cornet Obolensky who, with Marco Kutscher, took part in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Clintendro K’s dam sire, Contendro I, is a brilliant example of the Holstein performance line 104a and more than 30 of his sons have been licensed to date. In 2010, his progeny sold for a total of €4.6 million at Verden – the highest amount ever paid for a jumping sire at the Hanoverian auctions.
Clintendro K’s grand-dam sire is Acord II, who, like his two brothers, Acord I and Acord III, were highly successful in the world of international showjumping, competing up to advance level and amassing a substantial amount of winnings. His progenies – a combination of jumpers and dressage horses – have all done extremely well in their disciplines, including Artur, who, with American rider Aaron Vale, won €90,459 in prize money.
