This handsome bay Holstein showjumping stallion is tall, light and athletic – perfect for today’s sport, with unlimited scope, fast reflexes and fantastic technique over fences.
Carsten’s impeccable breeding from the prestigious dam line 741 has produced an illustrious line-up of famous horses, including Cardento, Colorit, Quadros, Colore and Schockemöhle’s Quintender.
He is out of the popular stallion Cassini I, sire of several top-flight showjumpers, including 2006 world champion Cumano. Cassini I was ridden as a five-year-old by Herbert Blöcker before Bo Kristoffersen took over, with the pair representing Denmark in the winning Nations Cup team in Helsinki and at the European Championships.
In 1997, Frankie Sloothaak rode Cassini I to fourth place in the World Cup round at Olympia before embarking on a glittering run of success at Grand Prix, Nations Cup and World Cup level.
Carsten’s dam line features Quinar, who has been internationally successful under Jos Lansink. He is the sire of several licensed stallions, including Quintender – grandson of Quidam de Revel.
Carsten has competed successfully up to 5* level in 1m60 classes with consistent double clears up to 4* Grand Prix level since joining Gornall Equestrian.
